    Continuity The painting that Chester nails to the side door of the marshal's office at the beginning is not there later--with no visible nail holes, as if it was never there. Miscellaneous During his first conversation with Amy, she brings up the Dakota Territory. He asks "Did I know you DOWN there?" South Dakota is up from (north of) Dodge City, Kansas. It's hard to know if this was a mistake by the writer or a slip of the tongue by James Arness.
