When Purita de la Rosa was born about 1924, in Yaque, Bohechío, San Juan, Dominican Republic, her father, Lauranio de la Rosa, was 71 and her mother, Maria Ignacia Arias de la Rosa, was 26. She died about 1955, in her hometown, at the age of 33.
