Jan 12, 2008 · My first exposure to Grace Slick was through Jefferson Airplane's album "Surrealistic Pillow" in 1967. When I first played this earlier effort from her time in The Great Society, I couldn't help noticing that she sings the first lines on the first track, "Sally Go 'Round The Roses", with the strength and liquid flexibility that became her trademark.
