  1. KCRW started playing South London crooner Florence and The Machine well before the release of her critically lauded full length album “Lungs.” Our DJs were charmed by her pop sensibilities and lyrical fearlessness, which made for some fantastic break up anthems. Hear it live on Morning Becomes Eclectic at 11:15am.

KCRW's Morning Becomes Eclectic is an EP released exclusively for vinyl in 2010 by Universal Public Records, though the album could be downloaded in .mp3 form from their site, given a code that comes along with the vinyl.

It is a rearranged version of a 40 minute session with Jason Bentley talking with Florence Welch in between songs. It was recorded on October 30, 2009, and was broadcast live on KCRW.com through video stream and on 89.9 KCRW Radio, from in Los Angeles, California. The vinyl cuts out all of the interviews, and the performance of Between Two Lungs.

A video of the session can be seen here.

The vinyl itself is a 10' Clear vinyl, meant to be played at 45 RPM.

The Vinyl Version has 7 tracks:

    Side A:

    1.Dog Days Are Over 4:25

2.Rabbit Heart (Raise It Up) 4:48

    3.You've Got The Love 3:18

    Side B:

There is no information regarding how well this EP did on the charts.

•The interview segments have Florence and Jason comparing Halloween in the UK and North America, as well as the content of Hurricane Drunk and My Boy Builds Coffins, and the origins of her singing and Tom Monger playing the Harp in the band. They also briefly touch on the xx's remix of their version of You've Got The Love.

•Florence Dances during Rabbit Heart (Raise It Up) and when Jason brings it up, she said "I didn't realise there were webcams!"
