Glasberg is survived by his wife of two decades, Mimi Schmir. She has a Primetime Emmy nomination from 2006 as an executive producer on Grey’s Anatomy. She wrote for the show from 2005 to 2006. She also worked on Party of Five, Shark, Felicity and Touched by an Angel. Glasberg is also survived by their two sons, his father and a sister.
In 2014, Glasberg helped CBS launch NCIS: New Orleans, the second NCISspin-off. The show stars Scott Bakula and is now in its third season. CBS had hoped Glasberg would continue to make contributions to the network. In May 2016, Deadline reportedthat he signed an overall deal with CBS TV Studios to develop more projects.
