British screenwriter Dave Martin died of cancer on 10 April. Born in 1935 in Birmingham, England, he wrote 15 episodes of the 1970s’ Doctor Who series, as well as one episode last year for the new series. Most of his writing was in collaboration with partner Bob Baker.
