Jane Boyer – An active site for artist-curator practice. Both Sides of a Duller Moon. Taking inspiration from Cy Twombly’s Green Paintings, which were a meditation on the reflective water of Venice, Both Sides of a Duller Moon considers the dimming reflection of the moon in an ever-degrading environmental crisis.

As an artist-curator, academic researcher and writer, I make art and construct visual relationships with artworks, both within the studio and in exhibitions. I research through my studio and curatorial practice, and I contribute to the theoretical discourse involved in these activities.
News – Jane Boyer. And to close out 2023, I have been awarded a Certificate of Artistic Achievement from Luxembourg Art Prize 2023. In 2022, I won a certificate of artistic merit. I take this as a step up! Three of my photographs from the Environmental Memory project have been published by SAND Literature and Art Journal in Berlin.

My practice is multi-disciplinary and involves multiple media. I’m an artist, a curator and a writer. I work with paint, photography, digital imagery, collage, printmaking, installation, video, and text, recycling my work by replicating, appropriating and reimaging it and also using it as discursive material allowing it to take on new meaning by recontextualising it.

I am an independent artist, curator, and researcher working internationally. I was awarded a fine art PhD from Cambridge School of Art, Anglia Ruskin University in 2021. My work is philosophically...
