William John Scott (August 2, 1920 – November 29, 1985) was an American voice actor, writer and producer for animated cartoons, primarily associated with Jay Ward and UPA, as well as one of the founding members of ASIFA-Hollywood.
Bill Scott (1920-1985) was known for his voice roles in The Bullwinkle Show, Hoppity Hooper and The Crazy World of Laurel and Hardy. He also wrote and produced several TV series and movies, and was married to Dorothy Scott.

Aug 2, 2012 · Bill Scott passed away on Nov. 29, 1985, in his sleep at his home in Tujunga, Calif., at the age of 65. He was survived by his wife, two sons and one daughter. The following interview took place at Scott’s home on Sept. 3, 1982, and was one of the last major interviews he gave.
