Christopher John Carpenter (born April 27, 1975) is an American former professional baseball pitcher. He played 15 seasons in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the Toronto Blue Jays and St. Louis Cardinals from 1997 to 2012.
Led all of Major League Baseball with 35 games started, a career high. Was the first pitcher in MLB to start 35 games in a season since Bronson Arroyo with CIN in 2006 and the first Cardinals pitcher to start 35 or more since Jose DeLeon (36) in 1989.
