In the field of contemporary music , she has performed with Pierre Boulez 's Ensemble InterContemporain , and worked with Merce Cunningham and John Cage . [2]

Biographie. Née en 1951 en Provence 1, Joëlle Léandre apprend le piano dès 9 ans, puis s'inscrit en contrebasse au conservatoire d'Aix. Puis elle intègre en 1969 le Conservatoire national supérieur de musique de Paris et y obtient un premier prix de contrebasse 1, 2 .
