Mar 4, 2020 · Inspired in part by Walt Whitman’s “Song of Myself,” Ball-Hog or Tugboat? is a kaleidoscopic autobiographical narrative and a profound meditation on the role of the bassist in popular music.
Featuring some of the biggest names in contemporary alternative rock (Eddie Vedder, Beastie Boys, and the surviving members of Nirvana), Watt also teamed up with a host of SST Records alum (Meat Puppets, J Mascis, Sonic Youth, Henry Rollins, Joe Baiza, Spot) to craft a dizzyingly eclectic set. Ball-Hog starts off strong.
