Kate Perugini, born Catherine Elizabeth Macready Dickens on October 29, 1839, was a British painter of the Victorian era, notable not only for her artistic talent but also as the daughter of the famed novelist Charles Dickens.
After her baby’s death, Katey threw herself back into her work and within a short time was being accepted to exhibit at the Royal Academy. She exhibited under the name Kate Perugini and signed her works with an intertwined 'K' and 'P'.
