[1] The series is based on the Walt Longmire Mysteries series of novels by Craig Johnson. [2] It centers on Walt Longmire, a sheriff in Wyoming.
John Coveny is a producer and writer. He co-created Longmire with Hunt Baldwin and was Executive Producer of the series. He also took part in writing of some of the episodes and wrote and produced for Yellowstone as well.
