Something Real is Meg & Dia's second album, released on August 8, 2006. After signing with Doghouse Records the previous fall, they started recording in January. It contains new songs and electrified versions of their originally acoustic songs.
This band has created an excellent, concise collection of indie rock. The electric guitars add the perfect amount of crunch to keep the majority of the songs bouncing along. Tracks like "Rebecca" and "Cardigan Weather" rely on the piano and acoustic guitar respectively but are no less interesting.
