Jacques Rivette, né le 1er mars 1928 à Rouen et mort le 29 janvier 2016 à Paris 6e, est un cinéaste français 2, 3 . Comme ses camarades de la Nouvelle Vague, Rivette est d'abord critique de cinéma. Avec Éric Rohmer, il fonde la Gazette du cinéma en 1950 avant de rejoindre les Cahiers du cinéma, revue dont il devient rédacteur en chef en 1963.
