Siegmann had a long and active career in silent film, starting in 1909 acting in American Mutoscope and Biograph shorts under D.W. Griffith. In 1922, Siegmann was part of a rather large company taken to Tahiti by director Raoul Walsh to film "Lost and Found on a South Sea Island", a Goldwyn production.
