Benita Andre (born 29 August 1965; age 58) (also known as Benita Marti or Benita Telles) is the actress who played Anara in the Star Trek: Deep Space Nine first season episode "The Forsaken".
Andre was born in Albuquerque, New Mexico and made a short appearance in Three Amigos (1986, with Tony Plana, Jorge Cervera, Jr., Brian Thompson, and Jeff O'Haco).
The following years she had guest roles in the television series Zorro (1990, starring Duncan Regehr) and Equal Justice (1990, with Castulo Guerra and Daniel Zacapa) and supporting parts in One Good Cop (1991, with Kevin Conway, Tony Plana, Victor Rivers, Mike Hagerty, Barbara Townsend, and Henry Kingi, Jr.) and in the action film Hard Justice (1995, with Charles Napier and Adam Clark).
In 1999 she portrayed Carla Castillo in the short lived drama series On Common Ground which featured Darin Cooper and David Jean Thomas. Further parts include a recurring role on two episodes of The Shield (2004 and 2006, starring Michael Jace, Jay Karnes, and Benito Martinez) and a guest part in an episode of Monk (2006, along with Taylor McCluskey). Andre and Martinez are fraternal twin brother and sister.
