In 2014, Niney starred as fashion designer Yves Saint Laurent in the biopic of the same name directed by Jalil Lespert, for which he won a César Award for Best Actor. In February 2023, it was announced that Niney will star in a 7-episode comedy series that he co-created and co-wrote with Igor Gotesman for Netflix titled Fiasco.
For this role Niney won the prize Patrick Dewaere, then the César for best actor (he actually became the youngest actor to win this prize). He left the Comédie Française on January 15, 2015. In the same year, he starred in the thriller 'Un homme idéal'.
