Kent Franklin McWhirter (born September 26, 1942 [1] ), known by his stage name Kent McCord, is an American retired actor, best known for his role as Officer Jim Reed on the television series Adam-12. [2] Life and career. McCord was born Kent Franklin McWhirter in Los Angeles, California to Bert and Laura McWhirter.
