To date, "I Love Your Smile" is Shanice's best known and most successful hit. It peaked at number two on the US Billboard Hot 100 on February 1, 1992, and it topped the Billboard Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Singles & Tracks chart for 4 weeks in December 1991 and January 1992.
While Shanice got a lot of exposure from her first two singles "(Baby Tell Me) Can You Dance" and "No 1/2 Steppin'", it was her smash hit single "I Love Your Smile" off her 1991 "Inner Child" album (released on Motown Records) that brought her international fame.
