Raymond William Hatton (July 7, 1887 [citation needed] – October 21, 1971) was an American film actor who appeared in almost 500 motion pictures. Biography. Hatton was born in Red Oak, Iowa. His physician father steered him toward a career in medicine.
Actor: Behind the Front. The son of a physician, Raymond Hatton entered films in 1909, eventually appearing in almost 500 other pictures. In early silents he formed a comedy team with big, burly Wallace Beery. He was best known as the tobacco-chewing, rip-snorting Rusty Joslin in the Three Mesquiteers series.
