Mae Busch (born Annie May Busch; 18 June 1891 – 20 April 1946) was an Australian-born actress who worked in both silent and sound films in early Hollywood. In the latter part of her career she appeared in many Laurel and Hardy comedies, frequently playing Hardy's shrewish wife.

Apr 10, 2015 · Here is Mae's biography on Fandango: Australian-born Mae Busch was the daughter of an opera singer mother and a symphony conductor father. Her family came to the U.S. when Mae was 3 years old, and she was placed in a convent school while her parents toured the world.
Mae Busch, born Annie May Busch, was an Australian stage and screen actress. Her first film appearances were in The Agitator and The Water Nymph, both released in 1912. At the pinnacle of her film career, Busch was known as the versatile vamp.
Busch appeared in roughly 130 films between 1912 and 1946, including a role in the recently-discovered feature, The Grim Game (1919), which was the first feature to star Harry Houdini. Sadly, Busch died at the age of 54 in San Fernando Valley, at a sanitarium.
