Gordon James (1878 – 1949) was an English actor who became known as the "heavy" in the Aldwych farces, between 1923 and 1933. He also appeared in some twenty films between 1929 and 1942.
Gordon James was born in Kingston, Jamaica and has lived in Canada, Kenya, France, Spain, and the United States. He is a graduate of Dartmouth College and received his M.F.A. in Acting from Brooklyn College. He is best known for his recurring role as Nurse Gregory on Grey's Anatomy as well as for being the host of Grey's Anatomy Post-Op on abc.com.

Gordon Robert James was born on October 28, 2001, in Chicago, Illinois. He grew up in Winnetka, Illinois and attended New Trier High School. Soon after he briefly attended the School of the Art Institute of Chicagobefore dropping out to pursue stand-up comedy full time.
James originally began his stand-up career in Indianapolis, while he briefly lived there he also worked as a entry level stock broker, he was later fired from his position of "lacking the education" as stated by James.
