Jack Sharkey (born Joseph Paul Zukauskas, Lithuanian: Juozas Povilas Žukauskas, October 26, 1902 – August 17, 1994) was a Lithuanian-American boxer who held the NYSAC, NBA, and The Ring heavyweight titles from 1932 to 1933.
Sharkey, nicknamed The Boston Gob, was the only man to fight Jack Dempsey and Joe Louis. After he retired, he became an outstanding fly fisherman who teamed up with Ted Williams to promote the sport. Along the way, it was a a controversial fight that inspired the phrase, We wuz robbed.
