Frederick Charles Lindstrom (November 21, 1905 – October 4, 1981) was an American professional baseball third baseman and outfielder. He played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the New York Giants , Pittsburgh Pirates , Chicago Cubs and Brooklyn Dodgers from 1924 until 1936.

Frederick “Freddie” Lindstrom began his professional baseball career at the age of 16. One of the finest athletes to come out of Chicago, he had tryouts with both the Cubs and the New York Giants.
Jan 4, 2012 · In 1947 Lindstrom became baseball coach at Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois. He coached the Wildcats for 14 years until he resigned on May 12, 1961, to accept an appointment as postmaster at Evanston. In 1976 Freddie Lindstrom was elected to the National Baseball Hall of Fame by the Veterans Committee.
