v. t. e. Arbëresh ( gluha/gjuha/gjufa Arbëreshe; also known as Arbërisht) is the variety of Albanian spoken by the Arbëreshë people of Italy. It is derived from the Albanian Tosk spoken in Albania, in Epirus. A related language is spoken by the Arvanites, with endonym Arvanitika .

1. When at the end of a word or before another consonant, most voiced consonants are replaced by their unvoiced equivalents: b, d, g, gj, x, xh. dh, ll, v, z and zh become p, t, k, q, c, ch, th, h, f, s and sh respectively.
