On the “sunrise” side of the “mitten” state, you’ll wake up to expansive views of Lake Huron. Located just north of Port Huron, Michigan, Lake Huron Retreat Center is a full-service adult retreat center dedicated to Christian hospitality connected with the United Methodist Church.
The best part of camping at Lakeport State Park is the access to a beautiful beach with clear, rocky Lake Huron to swim in. Second, the bathrooms and showers are kept very clean, kudos to the staff. The campsites are cramped and open, leaving no privacy.

Great state campground with both 30 and 50 amp service. Beach has seen extensive erosion, but not the fault of the campground. Super clean bathrooms and nice sites!
