- Kaiju Bar. One of the best cocktail menus in Miami can be found at Kaiju, a cocktail bar inside Little River’s The Citadel food hall. The menu itself is a cute little anime-inspired booklet, and it features cocktails with mythological monster names.
- Mac’s Club Deuce. Our favorite landmarks are those that offer alcohol, and South Florida’s most well-known dive bar, Mac’s, does just that from 8 a.m.
- NIU Wine. NIU: A glass of wine is like a cashmere sweater. Our preferred location for a low-key night out, first date, or a particularly exhausting Thursday that begs for a bottle of wine and delicious Spanish bar tapas is this cozy small wine bar.
- Dante’s HiFi. In Wynwood, Dante’s HiFi is a bar and “listening room.” This does not imply that everyone is sitting quietly and enjoying music; after all, Miami is a noisy city.
- Mac’s Club Deuce. Will Thompson has made waves in Miami. His bar, Jaguar Sun, has won multiple best bar awards, and his outdoor steakhouse popup Sunny’s Steakhouse was a pandemic darling, offering incredible cocktails and wood-fired eats in an open-air setting.
- LPM. You’d be a fool to visit Miami and not stop for a drink at Cafe La Trova, a contemporary Cuban bar and restaurant where the cocktails are impeccable and the dance floor in front of a live band is always filled.
- Better Days. Born and raised in Miami, Nicole Garcia has been working in the bar industry for more than a decade. As the bar manager at Higher Ground, a verdant terrace oasis at Arlo Wynwood that’s helmed by Bar Lab, she knows where to go for excellent cocktails.
- Dante’s HiFi. Montana Masbach used to own his own restaurant and bar in Brooklyn, New York before he made the move to Miami a couple years ago. There, he’s the bar manager and creative director at The Anderson, a beloved bar with a great live music lineup.
