Biography. Collins, currently a partner at Munger, Tolles & Olson LLP, earned his A.B. from Harvard College in 1985 and J.D. from Stanford Law School in 1988. He was a law clerk to Judge Dorothy W. Nelson on the Ninth Circuit from 1988–1989 and then clerked for Justice Antonin Scalia on the Supreme Court from 1991–1992.
Hon. Daniel P. Collins is Chief Bankruptcy Judge for the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Arizona in Phoenix, appointed as bankruptcy judge on Jan. 18, 2013, and as chief judge on March 17, 2014.
