Width 1.9 miles. Depth: 183 feet. Nearby Towns: Penn Yan, Branchport and Hammondsport. Keuka, from the Iroquois word for “canoe landing,” forks out into a Y shape about halfway up the lake, with shallow waters yielding warm water that makes for comfortable swimming all summer long.

Keuka Lake State Park, located in the heart of wine country, has a gentle charm, offering views of vineyard-covered slopes, glimmering water and clear blue sky. The park's camping areas have 150 tent and trailer sites, with 53 of those having electric hookups.
Keuka Lake is the only lake in the country that flows both north and south. Because of the shallow waters, Keuka is one of the warmer Finger Lakes and is an ideal place for swimming and boating.
