Greenwood Railroad Historical Center. Greenwood residents L.B. Adams and Charles H. Herndon established the Railroad Historical Center in 1970 in time for the Palmetto State’s Tricentennial. The center was operated by the Adams family for 35 years.
The Railroad Historical Center is located at 906 S. Main, not too far from the downtown museum. The real gems in this museum are the static train displays. Cosmetically the equipment has been restored, and unlike many collections the equipment has been protected from the elements by a long shed roof.
