Old Fort Harrod State Park is a park located in Harrodsburg, Kentucky in the United States. The park encompasses 15 acres (6.1 ha) and features a reconstruction of Fort Harrod, the first permanent American settlement in the state of Kentucky.
The fort is a replica of the original Fort Harrod, which stood on a nearby hill. Although not exact, the fort provides a realistic look at how life was arranged within the fort. You can tour the fort at your own pace and are provided with written information regarding each structure.

Sep 22, 2015 · This didn’t stop the pioneers from swarming into the settlement and soon the town of Harrodsburg, the oldest town in Kentucky, was formed. Today, the twenty-two acre park includes the reconstructed fort, the Mansion Museum, the Pioneer Cemetery and the Lincoln Marriage Temple.
