The Llano River (/ ˈ l æ n oʊ / LAN-oh) is a tributary of the Colorado River, about 105 miles (169 km) long, in Texas in the United States. It drains part of the Edwards Plateau in Texas Hill Country northwest of Austin .
The Llano river runs for a good amount of distance in the hill country. There is however, an area on the west side of Kingsland along Slab Road where the public can access the river. The summer and lack of rains offered an ability to walk in the river.
