   Jul 2022. Main Beach is the beach of all beaches. Of course this is East Hampton. Also known by many as Hollywood East. The Village really supports the beach, because they understand it is a central iconic feature of the Village, along with the other beautiful beaches in East Hampton.    • This is the best place to sit in the comfort of your car and look over the beach in the Hamptons, albeit only for 15 minutes at a time. If you want a little less of a scene and don't need restrooms or food, you can go to Wainscott beach, which is not too far away from Main Beach. You will need a parking sticker to park here, though.

   Is Montauk a good beach in East Hampton?

   • If you go to the left from Main Beach, you can walk for miles and miles all the way to Montauk. It can get very crowded during the season. If you prefer privacy, East Hampton has other beaches (no lifeguard) for just getting some peace and quiet. Its amazing to think such an incredible beach exists just 2 hours from NYC.

Parking is on a first-come first-serve basis, no parking permit is required and there is no reserved parking.
