Almost anywhere in the downtown area, you can see the Clock Tower peeking over the trees and hear the clock’s chimes on the hours.

It’s actually a water storage standpipe with red brick siding topped by a wooden structure that houses a four-sided clock. The tower has a spiral staircase that leads to the top, but the public is not allowed inside the clock portion.

The clock and bell were added in 1872. It's in a beautiful little park and can be seen from downtown Rome.
