Jun 4, 2021 · We are pleased to announce that The Keeper's House in Dobbs Ferry will reopen to the public on Saturdays and Sundays from 1pm-4pm starting June 12th. Come visit and check out our permanent interactive exhibition about the history of the tunnel and the trail.
RESTORED IN 2016 AS A. VISITOR AND EDUCATION CENTER. JAMES BREMNER, 1ST KEEPER. WILLIAM G. POMEROY FOUNDATION 2022. In 1843 the Croton Aqueduct was constructed to bring fresh water to New York City. James Bremner was appointed the first superintendent at Dobb’s Ferry.

May 13, 2017 · The Keeper's House is a perfect halfway point. The house is open 10 AM - 4 PM on weekends. The volunteers at the house were BEYOND helpful, sharing information about this engineering feat and its history, as well as the best ways to approach the trail.
