The ferry to Coronado is a matter of blocks from the San Diego convention center. Not far. From the ferry landing in Coronado to the Coronado beach is probably at least 20 minutes. We walked part way - 4-6 blocks - and caught an Uber or Lyft ride from there. We were on a "deadline" to see the sunset. Hope that helps.

There are currently two ferries in use, Silvergate and Cabrillo. The 65-foot Silvergate, built in 1940, is currently the longest-running wooden ferry in the United States.
