Oct 2015 • Couples. We visited the historic adobe of William Goodwin Dana. He was the 4th cousin of Richard Henry Dana Jr. - author of Two Years Before the Mast. He was granted the 37,888 acre ranch in 1837. The adobe also served as an important exchange point on California's first official mail route between Monterey and Los Angeles.
