May 2, 2022 · Mingo Creek County Park is a large regional park filled with trails, birds and wildflowers, playgrounds, picnic shelters, a ball field, disc golf, an observatory, model aircraft field, historic houses and covered bridges. The park is less than a half hour drive east of Washington.
The Department is in charge of Mingo Creek, Cross Creek, and Ten Mile Creek County Parks, and the Washington County portion of the Panhandle Trail. All of the county parks are open all year long and house two covered bridges.

It's a lovely little park, complete with multiple hiking trails, a 3 mile trail (6 if walking back again), a dog park, multiple pavilions, bathrooms, fishing spots, playgrounds (one with a sort of zipline contraption), places for horseback riding, an observatory, and of course the iconic creek!
