Large scale aquariums featuring fish, turtles and frogs native to the Etowah, Coosa, and Oostanaula (ECO) rivers.Live alligator and snake exhibitsIndigenous plantings that are tagged surround the centerWetland Demonstration areaThe center is designed for use by school groups to learn about the rivers in this area and for general public education.Tours of the Rome-Floyd E.C.O. Center can be arranged in conjunction with the rental of the Sulzbacher Roman Holiday, the City of Rome’s 45-passenger excursion boat.Parking is free and is located at the bottom of the hill beside the ECO CenterTop parking lot is designated for handicap parking only.The Rome-Floyd E.C.O. Center showcases the diversity of the Etowah, Coosa and Oostanaula rivers that converge in the center of Historic Downtown Rome. Exhibits feature live aquatic life and wildlife from Coosa River watershed. Large tanks showcase native fish species, including the highly endangered sturgeon.
