The Rigi, also known as the Queen of Mountains, towers majestically between Lakes Lucerne, Zug and Lauerz. The highest point on the Rigi-Kulm at 1,797m asl is where visitors can admire a magnificent panorama over Lake Lucerne and the nearby Alps, and to the Swiss Plateau looking north.
The Rigi (or Mount Rigi; also known as Queen of the Mountains) is a mountain massif of the Alps, located in Central Switzerland. The whole massif is almost entirely surrounded by the water of three different bodies of water: Lake Lucerne, Lake Zug and Lake Lauerz.

Nov 1, 2023 · Mt. Rigi overlooks the northern shore of Lake Lucerne. It is north of Weggis and Vitznau but south of Arth and Kussnacht in central Switzerland. The mountain belongs to the Schwyz Alps mountain massif, but Rigi Kulm is one of the lower summits in the range.
Dec 30, 2023 · Rigi is a green mountainous area on the northern shores of Lake Lucerne in Central Switzerland. It's accessible by cogwheel trains and cable cars from multiple villages. The top station at 1798 m altitude is called 'Rigi Kulm'. From Lucerne, it takes about 1h30 to reach the top.
