- Avoid high-sugar foods shortly before the test and cut back on simple, or refined, carbs. I was completely clueless when it came to all this my first time around.
- Chow down on healthy carbohydrates and make sure you eat a good balance of carbs and protein. This is important to do throughout the pregnancy but especially the morning of the glucose screening test.
