Die Notlüge plot. Hubert and Helga were once married, but are now separated and each has a new partner. They are both happy with their new lives, but Hubert's mother doesn't know anything about it yet. Hubert plans to redeem the old lady from her ignorance on her birthday, but when the big moment arrives, Hubert feels compelled to lie.
