Apr 26, 1999 · Two families are driving through the Nevada desert from San Diego in two cars. A recklessly driven El Dorado nearly runs down young Richie. At a nearby cafe, Richie’s father Glen angrily throws a drink in the driver Cliff’s face.
In a remote desert, Jack is on a road trip with his girlfriend and her daughter, a close friend and his son. When the group of vacationers stop by the side of the road, the friend's son is almost run over by a speeding Cadillac.
