Room 237 is a 2012 American documentary film directed by Rodney Ascher about interpretations of Stanley Kubrick's film The Shining (1980) which was adapted from the 1977 novel of the same name by Stephen King.

Room 237, not to be confused with the documentary of the same name, was a room in the Overlook Hotel in The Shining. In the book it was called "217". The room was inhabited in the past, by a Lorraine Massey who would usually seduce young bellboys who would visit her room.
