Fun courtroom drama with Susan Hayward as a clever and compassionate lawyer looking to spring a hot-tempered Lee J. Cobb from the charge of slaying his daughter's lover. Cobb really gives it his all, and Hayward has a lot of fun with the role, giving it her usual flair. There's a nice score to boot.

Hayward is assigned to defend powerful Lee J. Cobb, a wealthy contractor who rules his company and family with an iron thumb. Upset of the fact that his daughter (Jennifer Penney) is involved with the married Ray Sims, Cobb confronts him high up on a construction site, and Sims ends up dead.
