Oct 11, 2016 · Featured review. 10/10. The Lockpicker: Emotionally Moving Voyage of a Teen. The Lockpicker made me respond emotionally to these all too familiar teenage settings and circumstances... It sustains an ominous mood and intensity that makes me empathize with the character of Hashi.

Apr 27, 2017 · Leonard Chang’s novel The Lockpicker is a bit of a hybrid—a pulp crime novel that also becomes a story about the effects of a violent upbringing on an adult’s choices. Entertaining and with a well-paced literary style, this simple crime story becomes something more memorable.

When Reviewed. Rating. ★★★ Watched by Sean Kelly on Movies 21 Jun 2018. Ultimately, I don’t really know what to to think about The Lockpicker. While the film is tackling some interesting themes, the execution of the plot just left me confused am perhaps a little bit bored.
