   Jun 6, 1997 · Steven Spielberg, a gifted filmmaker, should have reimagined the material, should have seen it through the eyes of someone looking at dinosaurs, rather than through the eyes of someone looking at a box-office sequel. The movie is well done from a technical viewpoint, yes.

   Underrated. Second best Jurassic Park movie by a fairly wide margin, and contains some great nasty Spielberg. Also, incredible transition from lady on the island screaming to Goldblum yawning in front of a tropical island subway ad. Nope, it isn't one of the best sequels.

   Is Lost World the best Jurassic sequel?

   • I've always felt like Lost World was the best of the Jurassic sequels and definitely still feel that way after seeing Dominion. I find it odd that so many people rate this movie so negatively and it's never really gained all that much of a following, over the past 25 years.

   Sure not a great film, but definitely a good, entertaining movie. I enjoyed it just as much as the first Jurassic Park. The Lost World still contains impressive, eye popping effects. These are just as flawless as the CGI as the first Jurassic Parks.
