Giulio has a faithful wife and a true friend, but he is convinced that only with money can one be happy. Il Successo (also known as The Success) is a 1963 Italian comedy film directed by Mauro Morassi. It is considered an unofficial sequel of Dino Risi's Il Sorpasso, with Vittorio Gassman and Jean-Louis Trintignant reprising their roles with slight changes. The same Risi directed part of the film.
1963's "The Success" (Il Successo) reunites Vittorio Gassman and Jean-Louis Trintignant, the stars of Dino Risi's "The Easy Life" ("Il Sorpasso") from the previous year, only here Gassman pretty much gets the lion's share of footage from director Mauro Morassi.
