Eve (Angie Harmon) and Raymond Goode (Joel Gretsch) are a young couple whose son has recently died. They decide to adopt siblings Abby (Jordan Hinson) and Ethan Snow (Bobby Coleman), who have also suffered a recent family tragedy that made them orphans. When the children arrive at the Goodes' remote mansion, they are ordered to stay in the house and forbidden to make phone calls.
